ANECDOTES
- In the Egyptian Arabic dub, the soloist Nina Juul is actually Danish, but can sing in Arabic. She was the wife of a friend of Samir Habib (سمير حبيب), the studio owner. Even though her rendition of "Circle of Life" was redubbed in 2003, her performance as the soloist in "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" was kept.
- In the Arabic TV dub, Gihan Al-Naser (جيهان الناصر) and Amira Al-Naser (أميرة الناصر), the two soloists, are sisters.
- Jitka Zelenková sang the song "Circle of Life" in both Czech and Slovak versions.
- B.B. Queen (real name, Inge Severijnse), the Dutch soloist singer in both songs, also provided the voice of Sarafina.
- Jocelyn B. Smith, the German soloist, is an American singer, who moved to Germany in 1984. She received the golden record as an award for her performance in the movie.

- In the Talysh dub, only the song "Circle of Life" was dubbed. The other songs were left in English with Talysh subtitles - except for "Circle of Life (Reprise)" which was presented with the Polish version and Talysh subtitles.
- This is the only Disney movie to be dubbed into Zulu language, as a tribute to the culture which inspired the movie. Most of the cast weren't professional actors and singers, they were local people in the community that were cast by the Disney USA team, who went to South Africa to find the Zulu voices.
- China accepts only a few foreign films per year. Therefore, The Lion King got dubbed some years later.
- The Abaza, Albanian, Kabardian, Karachay-Balkar and Nogai dubbings aren't officially Disney's, they were made by independent studios.
