ANECDOTES
- It is the first Scooby-Doo direct-to-video film to use the animation style of the "What's New, Scooby-Doo?" TV series, launched the year prior.
- This movie marks the return of the original 1970 English cast, at the exception of Don Messick, the original voice of Scooby-Doo, who died in 1997. This is also the first animated direct-to-video film in which Frank Welker dubbed Scooby-Doo, a role he already reprised since 2002 in TV Series "What's New, Scooby-Doo?".
- It was the first direct-to-video film to be dubbed and released in Hungary at the same time as the original release.
- The Norwegian dubbing only aired on Boomerang, and was never relesed on DVDs or digital copies, which only present a subtitled version.
- Sweden changed the cast of their previous animated direct-to-video films to use the cast of the 2002 live-action movie "Scooby-Doo"; at the exception of Velma's voice, who was dubbed there by Helena Thornqvist. However, they'll change their cast again in the next movie, "Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico" (2003), using the voices from "What's New, Scooby-Doo?" TV Series, which started airing at that time - Scooby-Doo's, Shaggy's and Velma's voices being the same as this movie already. Those new voices will also replace the former voices of the 2002 live-action in the live-action sequel "Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed" in 2004.
- Between 2009 and 2012, Antonín Navrátil, the Czech voice of Shaggy, was also the dubbing director and adaptator in most Scooby-Doo animated films.
