ANECDOTES
- In the Arabic dubbing, four girls were initially chosen to pass tests for Pocahontas' role, and Gihan El-Naser was only supposed to guide and help them. She didn't know her recordings had been sent to Disney, and they finally chose her because they found she was more fitting to Pocahontas than the other four girls nominated. It took her 6 hours to record the dialogue and two days to record the songs.
- In the French dub, Bénédicte Lécroart, the French voice of Belle, was first thought of to be the singing voice of Pocahontas.
- Judith Bérard, a Canadian singer, was chosen at first to be the singing voice in the French version. She dubbed the song "Colors of the Wind" for the trailer, and this version can still be found. But at the last moment, she couldn't take the role and was replaced by Laura Mayne.
- Pocahontas still hold the largest premiere in history, on June 10, 1995, in New York's Central Park, followed by a live performance by Vanessa Williams (who sang the End Credits Pop Version at the end).
- The Indonesian and Malay dubbings are TV dubs, never released on VHS/DVD/BLU-RAYs.
- The Albanian and Persian dubs aren't officially Disney, they're made by small independant studios.
